Welcome to EDMCalendar.lk. These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of our website, mobile applications, and ticketing services (collectively, the "Platform"). By creating an account, purchasing a ticket, or utilizing our Organizer Dashboard, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms.

1. Account Registration & User Roles

EDMCalendar.lk operates with two primary user identities: Ravers (attendees/ticket buyers) and Organisers (promoters/event hosts).

  • Accuracy of Information: You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
  • Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your password. Any activities or actions under your account, whether authorized by you or not, are your sole responsibility.
  • Age Restriction: You must be at least 18 years old to purchase tickets or create an Organizer account on this Platform. Certain events may have stricter age policies enforced by the Organizer at the venue.

2. Ticketing & Purchases

EDMCalendar.lk acts solely as an independent ticketing platform and promotional agent for third-party Event Organizers.

  • Ticket Delivery: All tickets are delivered digitally via email and stored securely within your Raver account dashboard.
  • Pricing & Fees: Ticket prices are set by the Organizers. EDMCalendar.lk may charge a non-refundable booking/convenience fee per transaction, which will be clearly displayed before checkout.
  • Right of Admission: A ticket is a revocable license. The Event Organizer and venue management reserve the Right of Admission (R.O.A.R). Being denied entry due to intoxication, failure to meet dress codes, or aggressive behavior does not entitle you to a refund.
Fraud Prevention Notice: Do not buy tickets from third-party resellers or scalpers. EDMCalendar.lk is not responsible for fake, duplicated, or voided tickets purchased outside of our official Platform.

3. Refunds & Cancellations

Because EDMCalendar.lk acts as an intermediary, our refund policies are largely dictated by the specific Event Organizer.

  • General Rule: All ticket sales are final. Refunds are generally not permitted for change-of-mind, scheduling conflicts, or failure to attend.
  • Event Cancellations: If an event is entirely cancelled by the Organizer, you are entitled to a refund of the face value of the ticket. Booking fees are non-refundable.
  • Postponements: If an event is postponed or relocated, your ticket will remain valid for the new date/venue. Refunds for postponements are granted at the sole discretion of the Organizer.

4. Event Organizer Obligations

If you register as an Organiser and list events on EDMCalendar.lk, you are bound by the following additional terms:

  • Accuracy of Listings: You must ensure all event details (lineup, venue, timings, ticket tiers) are accurate. Bait-and-switch tactics regarding headlining artists are strictly prohibited.
  • Permits & Legality: You are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary local council permits, liquor licenses, and artist visas required to host the event in Sri Lanka.
  • Payouts: Ticket revenue payouts will be processed to the Organizer's designated bank account within 3-5 business days following the successful conclusion of the event, minus agreed-upon platform fees.

5. Content & Intellectual Property

All content presented on the Platform, including but not limited to the DJ MAG LK articles, reviews, logos, graphics, and video podcasts, is the property of EDMCalendar.lk or its content suppliers and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our original content (such as Tech Reviews or Video Podcasts) without explicit written permission from our editorial team.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EDMCalendar.lk and its parent companies, affiliates, and staff shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from:

  • Your use or inability to use the Platform.
  • Personal injury, property damage, or loss sustained at any event listed on our Platform.
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms or our services shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
